I actually had to file a worker’s compensation stress claim against FB. After being evaluated by an independent medical examiner FB was found 85% liable for my stress (I have the receipts). I can’t even wrk traditionally without having passive suicidal ideations. I lost my career

My dad - 5+ decades ago - famously got his PhD, got married (same weekend so his family only made one trip), then started a new job days later (no honeymoon), has ulcers 6 months or so later (would be 6+ years & moves & many jobs before I was born)

I keep accidentally doing things I should be paid for for free. I care a lot about my friends and the community here, but I can’t afford to work for free. I’m going to watch myself for that.

Boris Johnson got 43% of the vote. It is a mandate to govern, but not to impose a hard Brexit that destroys jobs, takes away our rights, and leaves the UK isolated in the world. Today I am voting against the Brexit #WithdrawalAgreement because it is an historic mistake.

This is one of the ways that the world does not appear to behave like an economics 101 textbook: people are not rational actors particularly around behavior change, and will persist in doing economically irrational things due to behavioral inertia.
