Once thing this election season has taught me is that reliance on oil is a national security problem. Not for the obvious reasons. But because a 50% increase in oil prices has such awful political consequences, that America's enemies just have to threaten oil supplies.
Always wondered about the "river to the sea" types. Do they expect that the inevitable Palestinian civil war that would break out would kill fewer civilians than Israel? Are those deaths more acceptable? Or do they really think that Fatah and Hamas won't slaughter each other?
Trump did not, in fact, grab them by the pu**y.
1) Miss America contestants aren't afraid of the limelight and none came forward.
2) We know he loves telling self-aggrandizing lies and he was obviously bragging.
3) He said "could" not "did". When has Trump ever been indirect?
The Tuareg are one of the last societies left that still has systemic slavery. Imagine if a UN agency extolled the virtues of Southern Hospitality in the Antebellum South, never mentioning slavery? What the actual heck?!

Most books in English class are harmful to kids' education. The protagonists are awful role models who emote while passively allowing the plot to happen to them. The text is ambiguous and relies on subtext, which is the opposite of good writing in literally any other domain.
My favorite use case for Grok embedded in X is taping the icon when I see an acronym I don't recognize and then asking it about the acronym. There is too much overlap to efficiently web search it, but Grok figures out which meaning is correct for that context.
Open ai is planning on spending $600B on compute over the next 4 years. To put that in perspective, that is roughly 5 California High Speed Rails.
We should be blaming automation rather than globalization for fragile supply chains.
The financially best move for manufacturers is to run their factories 24x7, which means they have no ability to do overtime in response to supply or demand shocks.
Globalization on the other hand? Everyone remembers how our "made in China" stuff was unavailable in 2021. But we had over a million TEU of stuff sitting off the coast of LA waiting to be unloaded then. The Chinese manufacturers did their part; US logistics failed.
One thing I wish was mentioned more often is that the approved "international law" method of regime change is that it is that to the innocents being oppressed, it is the most cruel method of regime change.
The method is: make the population suffer enough (through economic sanctions) that unarmed civilians have nothing to lose and defeat a cruel regime that owns all the weapons in combat.
Can something be done to clean up the level of spam in DMs?! I thought I would help by reporting them, but even the report screen says they don't look at spam reports!
