🗺️ Psychogeography: How Places Make Us Feel 🧠⚡️
Have you ever noticed how a particular street makes you feel calm, how a busy city center energizes you, or how an old neighborhood brings back memories?
That's the idea behind psychogeography, the study of how our surroundings influence our emotions, thoughts, and behavior.
Every place has its own atmosphere. 🌆
🌿 A quiet park can help you unwind.
🏙️ A lively street can spark your curiosity.
🏛️ An old neighborhood can make you feel nostalgic.
🌊 A walk along the waterfront can clear your mind.
And the interesting part? You don't always need to travel somewhere new to experience something different. Sometimes, all it takes is choosing a different route.
That's one of the things I love about using #STEPN. Walking isn't always about speed, distance, or reaching a target. It's also an opportunity to explore your surroundings, discover new places, and notice how different environments make you feel.
This weekend, try changing your usual route. Walk through a different neighborhood, explore a quiet street, or visit a place you've never been before. You might discover something new about your city, or even about yourself. 🚶♂️✨
