Yes, facts. As youth baseball becomes more expensive, we’re not just creating financial strain—we’re shrinking access. The next great player could be priced out long before a scout ever sees them. Talent is universal. Opportunity is not.
Couldn’t be happier for Coach Phil Kraska. Years ago, when BUBA was searching for a home, Phil and the team at @MSJGaels stepped up when we needed it most. First-class coach, first-class person. This honor is well deserved. Congratulations, Coach.
I’ll never forget meeting with Phil and AD @kraigloovis . In the middle of explaining our situation, the response was essentially: “We’re Mount Saint Joe. We’ve been serving Baltimore for over 150 years. We have a home for you.” They opened their hitting facility to us.
What BUBA has become is because people and institutions believed in Baltimore’s young people when they didn’t have to. @BaseballGaels and Coach Kraska did exactly that. We’ll always be grateful. Congratulations on an incredible season and a well-earned Coach of the Year award.
Outstanding work. The next frontier is studying access. As baseball becomes more expensive, community resources and opportunity play a growing role in who enters the pipeline. Understanding that may be just as important as understanding the path to Omaha.
Interesting perspective. We believe MLB and other stakeholders have a tremendous opportunity to grow the game by investing deeper in urban cities across America. The athletes are there—we just need to make sure the opportunities are too. 😎 @PlayersAlliance leading the charge!

Paul Skenes was driving down Perry Highway in Wexford just past seven o’clock Monday night when the Pirates superstar pitcher made a pit stop. It was a Little League field.
Skenes signed autographs for over two hours, connecting with Pittsburgh's next generation.

At this point, the only thing missing from the résumé is advocating for free youth baseball access. Do that and MLB might run out of reasons.
17 pitchers have been signed by MLB orgs from the Atlantic League so far.
@BauerOutage has been named Atlantic League Pitcher of the Month for both April and May, being recognized as the most valuable pitcher in the league each month so far.
Fans love him.
Stadiums sell out for him.
Teammates love him.
Front offices love him.
He’s never paid a false accuser a single cent.
His false accusers both currently face criminal charges.
And the initial allegations were so BS that he was never charged with a crime, let alone even arrested on suspicion.
Make it make sense.
