Great to visit New Covent Garden Market in Nine Elms at 4am this morning with @wandbc Council Leader @RDMorritt & fellow Cabinet Members. From fruit & veg to flowers, it keeps London supplied—a vital part of Wandsworth’s economy, with over 2,500 jobs & £1.079bn turnover in 2025–26.

Great to be out in #Balham today with Cllr @DrJonathanIliff, @lucymowatt & @Suz_Tooting. We had meaningful conversations at our street stall about making the area even better—and our campaign against the Government’s 40% cut to Wandsworth’s funding. @TeamLondonUK

Before May’s local election, @wandsworth @Conservatives warned Labour left #Wandsworth’s finances in crisis. The new Conservative administration’s Spending Review found £79m in savings—more than is raised in council tax—but a £143m gap remains. We’re formally challenging the Labour Government’s 40% funding cut. Labour shouldn't be forcing people in Wandsworth to pay more. @TeamLondonUK
