🚨David Draper shared religious memes, patriotic prayers and “Straight Pride” graphics on Facebook for years. Now the 59-year-old from Murray, Kentucky, is charged with possessing child s*xual abuse material. He was arrested on three counts of possession of matter portraying a s*xual performance by a minor over 12 and under 18 years of age, plus one count of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means. Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected. On Tuesday, Draper appeared in Calloway County District Court, where a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. His Facebook feed leaned heavily on far-right culture war posts. In 2023 he shared a “Straight Pride” meme that said “it’s Natural, it’s Worked for Thousands of years and you Can Make Babies.” In 2019 he shared an anti-Muslim bacon post about who is “less likely to blow themselves up.” In 2020 he shared a meme claiming BLM members attack white people for being white. No cases were cited. The day after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, he shared a post hinting that Nancy Pelosi’s son-in-law appearing with “the Viking guy” was suspicious. The AP reported that Michiel Vos was covering the riot for Dutch TV. He was not engaging in the insurrection. In February 2024, Draper shared a meme contradicting his stated “Christian” values comparing undocumented immigrants to stray cats that said “STOP FEEDING THEM, THEY’LL GO AWAY!” His caption read “It was true then and it’s still true today.” Draper does not appear to be a drag queen, trans, undocumented immigrant, or Muslim.
