Mad rush to the Yellow American Warbler. Unfortunately I Left my camera at home. But my good friend @BRNature1 allowed me to use on of his pictures. Buzzing very nice early Christmas present.

Another decent day @RSPBRainham this autumn but this time with added spice when this Juv Pallid Harrier flew through. Cracking bird and first site record! It was on site for 45 mins and then lost to view.🔥#londonbirds

Not what I was expecting to find on a BBS this morning in march! Unfortunately on a private Thamesside site with no general access. #Woodchat @EssexBirdNews

Mega happy to find these 2 Bewick's Swans on Patch at Walthamstow Wetlands this morning! A very rare bird here and a Patch tick. Also found a Little Gull, 2 Ravens, good numbers of Lapwings. Saw a roosting Woodcock earlier in the week plus Wigeon, Buzzard, and more!

OK folks, here's something you don't see every day. Literally. A male Hen Harrier, harassing a Peregrine Falcon, and oh, that just happens to be a Merlin watching the commotion. @Natures_Voice @RSPBEngland

A splendid day out y’day with my niece, first for ages. Dartford Warbler, Cattle Egret, Purple Sandpiper etc. Then time to nip to Gedgrave; I was surprised to find the Bean Geese back in their original field. Finally a dusk walk at Orford where I was thrilled to find a Merlin!

Absolutely over the moon to win the urban animals category at the @RSPCA_official Young Photographer awards yesterday with this image of a Sand Martin taken at Walthamstow Wetlands! I also got my photo featured in The Times, which is pretty cool!

Two American visitors still present on Rathlin this afternoon - yesterday's Lesser Yellowlegs still strutting around the rocky shore near the Rue, while the Bonaparte's Gull has been in Church Bay nearly a week now

LESSER YELLOWLEGS at the Rue this morning - a first for Rathlin 🤩 What a week we're having, whatever will show up on the island next?!

So happy to finally clinch this Hume’s Warbler at Spurn today! My first BB rarity find, still buzzing 😅😅

Thankfully today's Rough-legged Buzzard was gloriously showy, appearing again at Kinramer, then at Kebble, before travelling over to Ballyconagan by the evening. The first record on Rathlin since the one enjoyed by @peediepuss and others in 1988!

One of those most incredible WTF!! moments I have witnessed in 41 years birding at Belvide. I was just about to go home but decided to pop in the West End Hide to count the Wigeon. Didn't think I'd be counting 8 White-rumped Sandpipers instead. Patch birding at it's best.

Thrilled to have seen the Red-tailed Shrike at Dunwich early this morning prior to guiding a group at Minsmere. A first for Suffolk and just my second ever (the other at Bempton in 2022). The small crowd kept well away from its favoured perches and our scope views were excellent.
