Making a feature documentary is so expensive and time consuming but boy am I excited for what we're making here. This doc is by far the best piece of media I have ever created

When designing a building, it makes sense to spend more money on the front than the back But what’s the main entrance of these homes? The design makes you think it’s the front door, but in reality, it’s the garage I’d love to see similar projects put effort towards a well designed garage entrance

What they know is most people won't notice and even fewer will care. This is really how AI will spread--slowly degrading the quality of everything
A lot of reasons why SNL using AI for stuff like this sucks, but my main gripe is just that it’s less funny! The intentionally kind of janky photoshops are part of the joke and beat the weird smooth AI aesthetic.

hello brands, I hope this helps - if you use generative AI, I will think less of you as a brand and will make a deliberate effort to avoid your products in the future

I’m making another movie!
If you’ve seen Abandoned episode 100, then you might now know that we are in the early stages of my next big, feature documentary! It's a film that explores the rise and fall of the American Mall. I am of course beyond excited. Stay tuned!

Abandoned episode 100 is out right now! Made sense to not only revisit the topic that started it all, but bring the longest episode yet & reveal some never before seen footage of my favorite abandoned location. I really hope you all enjoy this very special episode. (link below)

Guillermo del Toro says “I’d rather die” than use generative AI “My concern is not artificial intelligence, but natural stupidity. I think that's what drives most of the world's worst features” (Source: npr.org/2025/10/23/nx-s1-557…)

It's literally just one single reason: because it's cheaper. That's the reason capitalism does ANYTHING. It's not some big philosophical question. Color requires dyes & paints, it fades & requires uptake, it takes more design time (good color theory isn't cheap)
