The #Saints are formed by the Beatitudes: poor, meek, merciful, hungering and thirsting for justice, seeking peace. They are “filled with God” and incapable of remaining indifferent to the needs of their neighbour. They bear witness to paths of light that we too can trod.
I've been off Twitter but wanted to come back to share that I'll be presenting at @APTAcsm in Boston next year!
Title: "Healthy Places for All Ages: Physical Therapists' Role in Creating Active, Age-Friendly Communities"
Going to be a super fun, interactive session on the intersection of clinical care, community involvement, and advocacy!
Hope you can make it!
(Also the @Aptaofma is working on some great events for those of you coming to visit!)

My biggest pet peeve in the fitness industry:
Men telling women to not train a certain way because they’ll get bulky or look like a man.
Like bro, YOU have been training for YEARS and you still ARE NOT bulky.
So why should that be a woman’s concern?
Been having a rough week and then today a lost car key situation “forced” us to take an 8 mile bike ride to the zoo and now I’m much happier.

I feel like there has to be a different term for the older suburbs that were built around train stations and for the newer, super car dependent burbs.
I’m living in a suburb this year for the first time in my life (and probably the last). Are all suburbs terrible? Two prompts: (1) Name me a good suburb, and (2) use the poll to let me know if you grew up in a suburb/small town (or a core city), and where you live now.
58%Suburb then, city now
4%City then, suburb now
22%Suburbs then and now
16%Cities then and now
5,702 votes • Final resultsCouldn’t you make a pretty compelling legal case that this is discriminatory? Basically Bedford TM has the resources to improve a path so it’s accessible to users with Disabilities and they’re saying “No”
Replying to @berkie1
Just to be clear, this is an existing, gravel, 1.7 mile trail section, the vote was to accept state funds to pave it to make it more accessible to more users of all ages and abilities…
TIL that in Massachusetts if your gift card value drops below 90% if it’s original value it <$5 you can elect to get cash back.

We have spent two years allowing basically uncontrolled spread of a virus that causes prolonged reduction in our immune function. Now we’re wondering why flu, RSV, and mystery illnesses are slamming us months later in high frequency compared to historical averages.
Who knew? 🤦🏻♂️
