Tonight, the Suthard Family lights the night red in honor of Fallen Durham Fire Department Firefighter Andrew Brokes.
Gone, but NEVER forgotten. We honor his selfless sacrifice. Rest Easy Brother.

My son on the nozzle last night, learning & growing, every single day at work & every single call for service. Appreciate everyone that has taken the time to welcome him to the profession, train him, coach him & mentor him. He’s a hard worker & very serious about his new career.
*CAR FIRE* This evening, just after 9:30pm, Engine 11 and Car 3 responded to a working vehicle fire in the 100 Block of Bingham Street. Stubborn fuel fed fire; but the crew made quick work of it. #HuntersvilleFD

Coming up on the anniversary of my deployment for #HurricaneKatrina. Deployed to MS after the storm, arriving to complete devastation, before moving onto LA. #Katrina20
A peaceful, quiet, rainy morning…the day after cut day, and before the day 3 crowds arrive. They’ll be here soon enough.

Charlotte Fire extends a heartfelt thank you to the Queen City for lighting the uptown skyline red in honor of fallen firefighters. As part of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters, this powerful tribute honored the brave men and women who gave their lives in the line of duty. The red glow over Charlotte served as a visible reminder that this city remembers, respects, and stands with the families of the fallen.
Another bitter sweet week of media interviews is complete for this amazing couple! They’ve stayed busy…@WSOC, @WBTV_News, @wbtradio, @WCCBCharlotte, @wcnc, @WSICnews.
Now time to focus on the annual memorial run which is this Saturday morning! #PVFD73 #Sheltra

We voted this morning! A very quick, easy, and organized experience. Seemed like an excellent turnout. PLEASE vote!
This was Jack’s first time voting in an Election! 🗳️
After 8 days, yesterday was my last day on deployment in Western NC. Back home to hug on family. Today my folks were right back at it, non stop, getting help & technology into the hands of fellow responders. They either drove or flew it depending on priority. #Helene
