So many consumer agent use cases are about spending money for the user (booking flights, ordering meals, etc.). I get the monetization push, but agents should earn user trust first—and a lot of shopping is actually fun, right? I'd prefer to build up experience with my agent first

While taking the train into the city, I’ve been noticing more and more young professionals using ChatGPT to research and get organized for work (on iPads or laptops mainly). Haven’t seen anyone using Muse yet, though a fantastic product. I'm very encouraged to see this diffusion.

Thailand seeks World Bank help to advance ASEAN Power Grid Thailand has urged the World Bank Group to help remove regulatory and contractual barriers holding back the ASEAN Power Grid, aiming to strengthen regional electricity links and attract long-term energy investment. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas made the proposal at a meeting of ASEAN finance ministers with World Bank Group President Ajay Banga in Bangkok on 13 October, during the 2026 IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings. The ASEAN Power Grid aims to connect national electricity networks and expand cross-border power trading to improve energy security and support renewable energy. The regional vision targets 2045, with the World Bank estimating that about US$800 billion in generation and transmission investment will be needed. Ekniti said financing alone could not resolve the region’s investment barriers and called for greater support for technology, infrastructure and the effective use of funds.
