Newcastle fans telling us Tony Bloom lacks ambition is probably one of the most wack takes I’ve ever seen on here about my club. And that’s saying something.
The Geordies I meet in real life are great, but it’s such a profoundly stupid take I struggle to even understand the thought process.
Because he doesn’t have oil money or backed by Saudi state money wanting to spend billions he “lacks ambition”?
A local fan, investing decades of his life into his local club, ploughing in money, his own wealth, for no return (actually in debt to him). Built us a stadium, an elite category one training ground and academy. One of, if not the most elite recruitment systems in world football, to the envy of bigger clubs. Taken us from L1 > regular European chasers in the PL.
