This is exactly the real-world utility BCH was built for. Micropayments unlocking life-saving medical research is beautiful
This is how Bitcoin Cash is unlocking life-saving surgical knowledge for cents. The Journal of Global Surgery (ONE) (@jogs_one) is a community-funded, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to global surgery. Instead of the usual $3,000+ paywalls, each article has a transparent $76 community cost. How it works with Bitcoin Cash: - Anyone can get instant access for as little as $0.10 paid in BCH - Every contribution chips away at the $76 total - Once fully funded the article becomes permanently open access for everyone - no further paywalls This new study tests a reusable suturing device for pelvic organ prolapse repair, designed specifically for low-resource settings where expensive single-use tools aren’t practical. It aims to cut costs, reduce waste, and improve access to critical surgical care. BCH makes the micro-payments possible: fast, borderless, and low-fee enough that doctors and researchers in any country can participate and help unlock the knowledge. Help unlock it or read it instantly here: jogs.one/JoGS_1317/

SolidCash is out: write Solidity, run it on Bitcoin Cash. Near-complete Solidity parity. Stateful contracts. A real EVM project, @eaccmarket, running on BCH*. One year of active development, and more than a year of tinkering before that. None of this was possible before the BCH 2026 upgrade. The upgrade gave the VM the room. SolidCash is what you can do with it. What SolidCash is: - solidc, the compiler: .scash source to runtime artifacts - solidcash, the TypeScript SDK: contracts, transactions, network providers, debugging - solidhat, the Hardhat analog: whole-project compilation, in-process test network, deployments, generated bindings - Ethers 5 and 6 shims, so existing EVM tooling habits carry over What that opens up: a full stablecoin USDT contract on BCH, unwrapping to native CashTokens. ERC-20 contracts that wrap existing CashTokens. EVM bridges. The EVM-like DEXes, lending and DeFi that BCH has been missing. Embrace them. If you can write Solidity, you can write SolidCash. Try it: npm create @solidcash/solidhat@latest my-contracts Or point your AI at it. Solidity parity means your coding agent already knows most of the language. Hand it the agent reference at solidcash.org/AGENTS.md together with your Solidity contract, and let it do the port or cross-compilation. Disclaimer: this is still a beta. Do not bet too much value on it. Security might need further hardening, and there will be undiscovered gaps. Found a gap? Open an issue and send the contract that broke. Let us close them together and make it better. Thanks to molecular (@cotta3) and @toorik for the initial support. If you are a business willing to expand to BCH, book me: @mainnet_pat here on X or Telegram If you are excited about this breakthrough, consider a donation - bitcoincash:qzjs09xdxlqzc60pz0yvzfhhczm3uwhtmsssv4yw86 Code: github.com/solidcash/solidca… Docs: solidcash.org Telegram: t.me/SolidCashBch * Under relaxed consensus rules: those contracts are larger than today's mainnet limits allow.

#PagoConBit #BitcoinCash
Aprovechá esta subida de $BCH y usalo! 🔥

Bitcoin ETFs with +$1b in flows, biggest one day flow haul since the good old days of last Oct. $IBIT led w $381m (4th overall) while $ARKB & $FBTC had over $200m each, but all of the Big Six contributed. #BitcoinCash #BCH
Who really holds BCH? 👀 The biggest BCH addresses currently hold: • #1: 589K BCH • #2: 581K BCH • #3: 501K BCH • Top 10: ~15.9% of supply That looks significant. But here’s the important part: A wallet ≠ one whale. Some large addresses may be exchanges, custodians, or internal wallets. And recent flows are mixed. So I’m not calling this bullish yet. What I want to see: • Large holders accumulating • Exchange balances falling • More long-term holding • Price + volume confirming Whale concentration is a signal to watch. Not a buy signal. The Bitcoin Cash Podcast Play to win, not to not-lose.

One dollar buys 1,038 BCH transactions right now. The same dollar buys 18.5 BTC transactions. That's the chart. Here's the mechanism behind it. BCH's current median transaction fee is $0.00096 — under a tenth of a cent. That number isn't a temporary artifact of low network activity. It's the structural output of a chain where blockspace supply consistently exceeds demand. Blocks on BCH average roughly 48 kilobytes out of a possible 32 megabytes. The fee auction that drives congestion on constrained chains never starts because there's nothing to auction. When every transaction that arrives gets included in the next block, users don't need to outbid each other. The minimum relay fee is the fee. BTC's median transaction fee right now is $0.04252. On a quiet day. During congestion events it has hit $30, $50, and higher. The mechanism is straightforward: BTC blocks run near capacity as a structural condition. 1MB of base-layer blockspace per block, roughly 3-7 transactions per second sustained. When demand exceeds supply, users bid against each other for limited space, and miners take the highest-paying transactions first. The fee isn't set by the protocol — it's set by whoever is most desperate to get included in the next block. That auction produces the $0.04 median on a calm day and the $30+ spike when the network gets busy. Same SHA-256 proof-of-work. Same 21 million coin supply cap. Same 10-minute target block time. Same UTXO transaction model. Different decisions about blockspace supply, and those decisions produce fee environments that are 44 times apart at the median on a normal day. ABLA — the Adaptive Blocksize Limit Algorithm, activated on BCH in May 2024 — sets 32MB as a floor and adjusts the ceiling upward automatically based on observed demand. Up to 2x per year under sustained high load, up to 4x following extended periods of unused capacity. The supply side responds before congestion can develop. This is why BCH's fee environment is stable rather than volatile: it's not that nobody uses the chain, it's that the chain was designed so that usage growth doesn't translate into fee spikes. The mechanism runs automatically. No governance debate required when blocks start filling up. Now the implication, because the fee difference isn't just an accounting curiosity. A merchant in Tacloban City processing a $5 sale at $0.04 per transaction is paying 0.8% of the transaction value in fees on a quiet BTC day. During a congestion spike at $1.00 per transaction, that's 20% of the sale. The economics of crypto payments at point-of-sale collapse entirely above a certain fee threshold — and that threshold is well below what BTC charges on a normal day for anything under $20. At $0.00096 per transaction, a $5 sale costs 0.019% in fees. A $0.50 micropayment costs the same fraction of a cent as a $500 transfer. The fee doesn't scale with the value — it scales with the bytes. This is why 78 businesses in Tacloban City accept $BCH, why 400+ businesses across Argentina accept it, why K24 convenience stores process BCH payments at 30 of their 85 locations. The checkout flow works because 0-conf gives merchants a 2-5 second mempool confirmation without waiting for a block, and the fee is economically invisible at any transaction size. The 1,038 transactions per dollar figure in the chart isn't an advertisement. It's a description of what the fee environment enables at scale. A remittance corridor running on BCH can move money from a Filipino worker to their family for less than a tenth of a cent per transfer. A developer building micropayment infrastructure doesn't need to design around fee minimums that make small payments uneconomical. A merchant accepting BCH for a $3 coffee isn't subsidizing the network's congestion problem. BTC at 18.5 transactions per dollar is optimized for a different use case. Moving significant amounts infrequently, where $0.04 is a rounding error. Holding value rather than transferring it. The fee environment is the direct output of a deliberate design choice — constrained blockspace creates fee pressure, fee pressure creates miner revenue, miner revenue secures the chain. It works for what BTC is trying to do. BCH's path to the same endpoint runs through volume at stable low fees. A chain processing millions of daily transactions at $0.00096 generates real aggregate miner revenue without a fee auction. The architecture makes a different bet: that the global payments market — roughly $120 trillion in global M2 — is a larger addressable opportunity than the gold market, and that capturing it requires fees low enough that no transaction is priced out before it starts. 1,038 BCH transactions per dollar. That's not a marketing claim. It's arithmetic. #BitcoinCash
