Includes my article 'Documents from the royal chancery of Aceh: istimi/sitmi in the 17th century'. In 17th century Aceh, sitmi/istimi were royal edicts dealing with foreign affairs, while tarakata/sarakata were for internal matters of governance and land rights.

Dariusz Kołodziejczyk vefat etmiş. Yazdığı her kitap be makalenin hakkını veren, ufuk açıcı bir tarihçi idi. Geçirdiği ağır hastalıktan kurtulmasını çok ümit etmiştim. Maalesef olmadı. Çok üzüldüm, devri daim olsun. Yazdıkları bize yol göstermeye devam edecek.
Osmanlı ve Doğu Avrupa tarihi üzerine yaptığı çalışmalarla akademi dünyasına değerli katkılar sunan şeref üyemiz Prof. Dr. Dariusz Kołodziejczyk’ın vefatını üzüntüyle öğrenmiş bulunmaktayız.
Türkiye-Polonya tarihî ilişkilerine ve Osmanlı araştırmalarına yaptığı katkılarla hatırlayacağımız Kołodziejczyk’ın ailesine, sevenlerine ve camiamıza baş sağlığı dileriz.

“Biggest joy of the book is Bishara’s narrative style..He convincingly shows that the history of the Middle East is incomplete if not viewed as integral to the histories of South Asia & East Africa.” Seema Alavi rev of “Monsoon Voyagers” in Law&History Rev cup.org/4jmVLOt

Just got my book copies from Brill @degruyter_brill.
Just looked at this book; I couldn't believe it! Alhamdulillah. The book took 10 years: 5 years (research and writing) in France and 5 years (rewriting, full revision, and the publication process) in Belgium.
Bahagia sekali🥰
