After a second successful flight, the composite origami team is happy to be back in NC. Huge thanks to @ZEROGResearch and @NASAArmstrong for this amazing opportunity!
A sneak peek from our wednesday flight - can’t wait to see the @ZEROGResearch photos!
Why is the Composite Origami team flying in microgravity? We want to improve the techniques for fabrication, storage, deployment, and tracking of composite origami structures used in outer space.
This week the Composite Origami team will be taking over the BLAST Lab Twitter to talk about our trip to fly with @ZEROGResearch. Stay tuned for pictures + updates!
Congratulations to Andrew Rocco for being selected to receive a @NSFGRFP fellowship!

Who knew #ducttape was capable of stopping 300 mph hail. Thanks for the creative idea from @ncstatemae students. @NCStateEngr #wolfpack
Thanks @NASAArmstrong for this amazing opportunity. We had a blast on the @ZEROGResearch flight doing this work.
In Nov, 10 space techs supported by NASA Flight ✈️ Opportunities were put to the test in 0 gravity with @GoZeroG including this lightweight spacecraft boom from @NCStateEngr – it can be used for deploying solar arrays, solar sails, and other instruments in space.

Wrapping up two weeks of @ZEROGResearch, we remain truly inspired by the numerous teams of #scientists, #engineeers, #inventors and #creators that performed microgravity #research on board G-FORCE ONE.
#FlightSuitFriday has never looked so good!
Looking forward to another set of flights with @ZEROGResearch. This time we will be testing some of the Composite Origami that we have developed. Thanks to @NASAArmstrong for the opportunity. @NCStateEngr @ncstatemae #Wolfpack
