Those are the kinds of things I try to do and to keep social as you can get caught up by your business. It's really important to try and ensure that you have a social life with your friends and have time out and give yourself that.’

Outside of work, you are likely to find me in the gym. I'll be there with my kids and we all have our membership, so that's our thing. I have another business as well, I'm a psychotherapist, so I'm juggling quite a bit! Other than that, it's eating, going out to restaurants.

Having the BIPC in the local area's an invaluable resource because you look at the charges for business coaches etc, and sometimes it's beyond your reach. If I need some info, I can go to them and get that support. Having that available for free in a local community is brilliant.

If there are any problems or questions that I have, I can sort them out through him, we can think about them together and come up with solutions. There are also loads of databases that they have access to, including a huge database of every fund in the UK.

I stumbled across @BIPCNotts because I was looking for funding to upscale my business. Through them, I've been able to sort out my IP, get all my trade marking sorted, I've been able to develop a business plan, and also I've been kept accountable with my business coach.

I grew up in Nottingham, moved to London, then came back to Nottingham, because that was just my city. I think there's something about being in your home city, everyone gets behind you. It's Nottingham's business, it's not just mine.
