Been away ten days but came back today to find Glasgow Kingfishers pretty much exactly where I'd left them. A hi-vis man was closing this section of the Kelvin Walkway near the Botanics; said it would be closed for about a week but will be open at the weekend (?) #birds
One of two Otters I saw on the River Clyde near Richmond Park in Glasgow this morning. Didn't seem to mind the rain.
I was watching the deer rut down there in Bushy Park the other day, beside the water at Brick Bridge, when this lad landed in nearby. Adult male Kingfisher, south-west London. #birds
Peregrine Falcon on Battersea Power Station this morning. I didn’t have time to wait for a closer view of the Peregrine, plus I’d just had an argument with a security guard who hadn’t read their own photography policy. #birds
An explosion of waders - Redshank, Knot, Black-Tailed Godwit and more - probably flushed by a raptor we didn’t get sight of. RSPB Morecambe Bay earlier this week. #birds
Advice from the walls of London. This one was in Whitechapel. It’s an ad for a video game; I don’t think the game is about pigeons. #birds
Mural by A&K Art at Castle Yard, Richmond, London. #birds
Cormorants on a grey day at Leighton Moss, Lancs. #birds
Of course the problem with owls is that they generally cut about at night, when its dark. Barn Owl, half an hour before sunrise today at RSPB Leighton Moss, Lancashire. #birds
Pics from a walk by the Lancaster Canal early this morning, near Carnforth, Englandshire. Kingfisher, Heron, a hot air ballon and Kestrel vs Rook. #birds
Kingfisher by the River Kelvin in the West End of Glasgow last week. This is pretty much as it came out the camera - a crop, some light NR, cloned a twig out of the corner. #birds
Cormorant seems unimpressed. A few days ago on the River Kelvin in Glasgow. #birds
Still at the Uni on Saturday, now nearly three hours after the stills I posted yesterday, Clyde departs from his perch, off to handle important Peregrine business. At Gilmorehill, Glasgow. #birds
Moon Hogwarts Peregrine. Adult male Peregrine ("Clyde") perched high on the tower at University of Glasgow Gilmorehill campus on Saturday morning. #birds
RSPB Lochwinnoch, Friday 2nd October. A young Kingfisher by the Barr Loch, lots of Snipe on the scrapes, Mute Swans coming and going, and Robins singing everywhere. #birds
