We love giving teens opportunities to explore creativity, build skills, and spend time in spaces where they feel encouraged to try new things and grow in confidence.
Not every kid feels comfortable raising their hand in class when they’re confused. At our Clubs, kids can ask questions, work through assignments, and get extra help in an environment that feels more relaxed, supportive, and encouraging after the school day ends.
We're proud to accept a $15,000 Community Grant from the @TacoBell Foundation to ensure the next generation has the tools needed to succeed in higher education and beyond.

At our Clubs, kids and teens have opportunities to build relationships with peers from different schools, backgrounds, and experiences within their community while spending time in an environment centered around inclusion and support.
For some kids, finding confidence happens on a field, during a game, or while learning a new skill alongside supportive coaches and peers. Creating opportunities for youth to explore their interests and feel encouraged along the way is an important part of what we do at our Clubs
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County, we work to create spaces where young people feel welcomed, supported, and excited to spend time after school. Our goal is always to provide an environment where they can feel safe being themselves.
We’re proud to create spaces where tweens and teens can spend time with friends, and enjoy activities they genuinely look forward to. Whether that’s a game of pool, time outside, creative programs, or simply having a place to hang out in a safe and supportive environment.
We love seeing strong and confident kids at our Clubs 💙 From the way young people grow academically and creatively to the confidence they build in themselves, our goal is always to create spaces where kids feel encouraged to be proud of who they are and what they’re capable of.
Sometimes connection starts in simple ways like sitting beside each other and getting interested in the same story. At our Clubs, reading becomes more than just an academic activity. It creates opportunities to build friendships through the things they’re excited about learning.
Food insecurity is a reality for many families, and no child should have to spend their afternoon worried about whether they’ll have something to eat. At our Clubs, providing healthy meals is one of the many ways we support local youth after school and during summer.
Sports and recreational activities are about so much more than just the game 💙 At our Clubs, kids have the chance to stay active, build confidence, encourage one another, and grow alongside supportive mentors and teammates.
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County, caring staff and mentors help create an environment where kids feel welcomed, encouraged, and valued from the moment they arrive. We’re proud to be a place young people can count on after school and during the summer. 💙
One of the best parts of our Clubs is seeing younger kids and teens share the same spaces, and grow up within the same community over the years. As kids grow, their interests change, but having a place where they continue to feel welcomed after school still matters just as much.
There’s nothing quiet about a drum set in the middle of an afterschool program, and honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way! 🥁 Our Clubs are places where kids can be creative, energetic, expressive, and fully themselves while exploring new interests and building confidence.
At our Clubs, kids get the chance to spend their days playing outside, laughing with friends, and simply enjoying being kids during summer break. We’re excited for many more moments like these in the weeks ahead. Want to learn more about summer camp? 👀 boysandgirlsclub.info/summer…
For many kids and teens, being celebrated as Youth of the Month is more than just a certificate or photograph on the wall. It’s a reminder that their effort, growth, character, and presence matter. Moments like these help build confidence, encourage leadership, and so much more.
Hands-on projects give kids opportunities to explore their imagination, try new things, and feel proud of what they create. Your support helps us continue providing creative programs and experiences for local youth. 💙
