The School has not agreed to the use of a mediator. We will return to the bargaining table on Friday, but there will be no mediator present.

A quick update: The Union Negotiating Committee is eager to get back to the bargaining table to finalize our union contract. We have proposed to the School that we retain an experienced labor mediator to help us reach an agreement. We await the School's response.

BREAKING: Brooklyn Friends School agreed to withdraw its petition to the NLRB to decertify the @BFSUnion after the 3rd day of the strike. With the strike off and this existential threat gone, teachers and staff can resume negotiations over their first contract.
