Great turnout for today’s BFAST Transit Users’ Forum. Thanks to all the residents who came to share your feedback on how we can make transit better. Great to see volunteers, community partners, staff and council in attendance, including members of our Accessibility Advisory Committee, Integrated Transportation Advisory Committee, Burlington Green, Chief Administrative Officer Hassaan Basit, Director of Transit Catherine Baldelli, Director of Transportation Craig Kummer, Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr, and City Councillors Rory Nisan and Angelo Bentivegna.

As our kids go #BackToSchool, never forget that we ARE the traffic that we’re using as an excuse. If more walked, biked or rode transit to school, it would erase a massive number of car trips each day, and our kids would be safer, healthier and better at school. Spread the word.

So nice to see this near to completion. I’ve been detouring around Plains this summer with the construction and general condition of the road. Hoping we can keep up the momentum and connect this stretch to a network. This is the way.

Make sure you add a PRESTO card to your back to school shopping list! You can pick up a #free youth PRESTO card at the Downtown Transit Terminal until the end of August, or while supplies last! You'll need to tap your PRESTO card to ride free M-F, after 6pm & on the weekends.
