🚨 Battlefield 6’s Little Bird is getting another nerf in Season 5. DICE plans to reduce the Scout Helicopter’s splash damage against infantry as part of a wider vehicle balance overhaul. Season 5 is also expected to bring stronger mobile Anti-Air cannons, missile balancing, tougher laser designators, vehicle-specific resupply cooldowns, and further health regeneration and damage tuning. The goal is to create a better balance between infantry, ground vehicles and aircraft, especially after months of debate around dominant Little Bird pilots. These changes are still being tested in Battlefield Labs, so they could be adjusted before release. Little Bird pilots might have a much harder time in Season 5. 👀

Battlefield 6 may finally be fixing one of its most frustrating controller issues. DICE has reportedly identified and internally fixed a Frostbite engine bug that adds around 2% extra analog stick deadzone, even when players lower the in-game deadzone settings. This can cause very small stick movements to not register properly, making fine aiming and micro-adjustments feel inconsistent. The issue has reportedly affected Xbox Series X controllers, Xbox Elite controllers, PS5 DualSense, DualSense Edge, Steam, and the EA app. The fix is said to be complete internally and is expected in an upcoming Battlefield 6 update, although DICE has not confirmed the exact patch yet. For controller players, aiming could feel noticeably more responsive once the fix goes live. Have you noticed this deadzone issue in Battlefield 6?

EA is stepping up its fight against cheating across Battlefield 6 and other titles. After raising concerns with Collective Minds, EA-related scripts and content have been removed from the public Cronus Zen and Strike Pack websites and Discord server. EA Javelin Anticheat is also getting native ARM64 support, while the company says it continues investing in machine learning, behavioral analysis and hardware-level protections. Over the past year, EA says its anti-cheat technology has protected 57.1 million players across 20 titles and prevented 26.7 million cheating attempts, with a reported detection accuracy of over 99%.

Rapid Royale is coming to REDSEC in Season 5. The new mode is a faster take on Battle Royale, played across Battlefield 6 maps like Vegas Strip. Here’s how it works: • Kills and crates earn Redeploy Tokens • As the match progresses, tokens become harder to get • More kills will be required to earn each new token • Airdrops can contain custom weapons and gear • If your entire squad is wiped with no Redeploy Tokens remaining, you’re eliminated It sounds like REDSEC is pushing for a much faster, more aggressive BR experience where staying active and securing kills becomes increasingly important as the match goes on.

Battlefield 6 could be getting a Dead Space crossover. A recent datamine reportedly uncovered 36 potential skins that could arrive over the coming months, including crossover content tied to Dead Space and Medal of Honor. One of the leaked outfits appears to feature a Dead Space-inspired helmet while keeping the rest of the design relatively grounded within Battlefield’s military style. Nothing is confirmed yet, and because this comes from datamined content, some or all of these skins may never actually release. Would you be okay with Dead Space skins in Battlefield 6, or should the game stay fully realistic?

Battlefield 6 Battle Royale is getting Proximity Chat 🎙️ Players will be able to hear nearby enemies based on their actual position in the world, adding another layer of tension to every encounter. The audio won’t simply play at the same volume either. Walls, buildings, vehicles and other surroundings will affect how clearly you can hear someone, potentially letting you figure out where another squad is hiding just by listening. Up to 4 nearby players can be heard through Proximity Chat at the same time. DICE is also including several controls to keep the feature manageable. Players will be able to quickly turn Proximity Chat on or off, while individual players can be muted, reported or blocked when needed. The system will continue to be tested and adjusted based on player feedback.

Battlefield Studios is changing how player reports are handled in Battlefield 6 after seeing a steady rise in reports against legitimate, highly skilled players. The studio says some players, particularly strong vehicle players, are being repeatedly reported despite showing no other signs of cheating. One account reportedly even submitted reports against nearly every player in every match. To address this, the Match Infection Rate system will now better recognize players who receive frequent reports but repeatedly pass manual reviews and trigger no other anti-cheat signals. If another anti-cheat detection is triggered, however, they can immediately be reconsidered. Battlefield Studios is also testing new in-game “nudges” that warn players about minor policy violations before stronger action is taken. These could cover abusing out-of-bounds areas, matchmaking manipulation, excessive exploit abuse, disruptive VOIP audio and messages that may violate EA’s Positive Play Charter. The notifications are designed to appear during menus, pre-game lobbies or while players are waiting to respawn so they don’t interrupt active gameplay.

Battlefield Studios says legitimate Battlefield 6 players, especially highly skilled vehicle players, are being reported more frequently by other users. The team says player reports help guide investigations, but reports alone are not enough to sanction an account. If someone is repeatedly reported over a long period, passes manual reviews, and triggers no other anti-cheat signals, Battlefield’s Match Infection Rate system will begin recognizing them as a legitimate skilled player instead. Battlefield Studios is also introducing new in-game “nudges” for minor policy violations. These warnings can appear in menus, pre-game lobbies, or while waiting to respawn and are designed to give players a chance to stop problematic behavior before stronger action is taken. Examples being considered include repeatedly exploiting out-of-bounds areas, matchmaking manipulation, excessive exploit abuse, disruptive VOIP audio, and messages that could violate EA’s Positive Play Charter.
