It’s the 2nd day and everyone is figuring out procedures. At @BESTexans the dad’s club was busy helping with drop-off procedures and the kids were excited to be back at school!

Over the summer, the @BESTexans staff room got a makeover thanks to the school’s Dad’s Club. Dads, families and local businesses pitched in to transform this room into a beautiful and comfortable space. Thank you to our GCISD Dad’s Clubs for all they do to support our campuses!

🏈 A big thank you to the @GCEdFoundation for sponsoring the Junior Captain at last week's CHHS football game. Bransford Elementary School first grader Declan Kamerman did an amazing job bringing out the game ball and walking with the captains for the coin toss. 🏈

Can you guess who our next principal highlight is?
Say hello to @ErinGerdes from @BESTexans. Her favorite thing about being a principal is getting to know her staff and families. She loves serving the community that raised her. Help us wish Mrs. Gerdes a Happy Principals Month!
ALT What colleges did you go to? Texas Tech University & Lamar University What do you like about being a principal? As a Principal, I love getting to know my students, staff and families. I love serving the community that raised me. What's the best advice you've ever received? My dad (who was my Principal at CES) taught me to promote a ‘Family First’ environment for my staff, which I strive to uphold. If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be? Cook or Bake - I am awful in the kitchen!
