So this happened today. After our interview with Brian Dawkins the @ProFootballHOF asked us to write another piece on the #Eagles legend. Today it was published on their website and I’m at a loss for words.

Injuries are part of the story. They can’t be the whole excuse.
Different coordinators. Same offensive problems.
Is Nick Sirianni running out of time with the #Eagles?

THIS
A CAUTIONARY NEWS TALE: #Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is now OUT for the season after multiple blood clots were discovered in his lungs, per his agents.
As I said before, Hurts is owed multiple apologies!!!
AND, the question should be asked if that ultra sound should’ve been performed BEFORE the flight to London & not after arriving upon a long flight overseas?
Don’t ever make fun of a “superficial blood clot” ever again!!

Michael Robinson owes #Eagles QB1 Jalen Hurts a full apology, full stop.
Opinion: tinyurl.com/yk3yx6pk
The inferred accusations in his rant below are dangerous on several fronts: From implying the #Eagles starting quarterback may be quitting on his team, to Hurts may be overstating an injury since it’s “superficial,” to assuming Hurts' injury doesn’t need vigilant monitoring for progression in severity because it’s “superficial” —all the while telling us to google it because Hurts' clot is only "superficial."
Well beyond just Google, I conferred with a medical expert who used to be a prominent doctor in a major city hospital.
In general, a superficial blood clot is not entirely isolated from the deeper venous system, and can potentially progress to a deep vein thrombosis through a few specific mechanisms.

Wishing QB1 a safe and speedy recovery
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is expected to miss the rest of the 2026 NFL season after multiple blood clots were found in his lungs.
His health is the top priority.

The Philadelphia Eagles offense was never built on ingenuity or innovation
It relied on 11 talented guys winning their individual matchups
2024 was the perfect storm of a healthy OL and the 2KSA cheat code
Lightning in a bottle with a super team masked a lack of creativity
Funny how scheme and personnel are suddenly the problem with Tanner McKee under center, but when it was Jalen Hurts, he was the problem.
Sean Mannion may be a rookie OC, but this is STILL Nick Sirianni’s offense. Same concepts, same struggles, different QB.
And I’m not ignoring the injuries, but they can’t keep being an excuse to overlook the real issue.
At some point, the common denominator becomes impossible to ignore.

#Eagles screen passes that result in losses isn't just a Jalen Hurts problem.
The #Eagles offense was just as bad today as it’s been all season.
Whether it’s Jalen Hurts or someone else under center, the problem runs deeper than the quarterback.
This offensive scheme simply isn’t working, and something has to give with this coaching staff.

Very well equipped to run the offense. If Tanne doesnt revert ot his 2024 form? I can see Milton getting the start next week (I dont expect to see Jalen again this season)
Gut wrenching. Wishing for a speedy recovery.
Breaking: #Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is out for Sunday due to a superficial blood clot.
Full statement from the #Eagles on QB Jalen Hurts:
“On Thursday, October 8th, Jalen visited the training room after practice requesting treatment for his calf. He informed the medical staff he had been cleated during the Rams game on October 4th. This was his first treatment session for the calf injury following the game, after having practiced in full both Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, Jalen received treatment, practiced in full, and was added to the practice report.
“Out of an abundance of caution, an ultrasound was performed on Saturday following the team’s flight to London and walkthrough. The ultrasound revealed a superficial blood clot. Our medical staff and doctors in London reviewed the results and concluded that activity and mobility were important and that Jalen could safely play. Doctors recommended a follow-up ultrasound within 72 hours of the game and the return flight to Philadelphia.
“Jalen played without limitation in the game Sunday, received treatment on Monday and Tuesday, and practiced in full on Wednesday, as reflected in the practice report. Throughout our time in London and this week, we have remained in communication with the league office regarding the matter.
"On Wednesday night, a follow-up ultrasound revealed movement in the small blood clot. Jalen will be out for Sunday’s game vs. the Panthers as we determine the appropriate course of treatment. His health and safety are our highest priority.”
