#SummerSolstice2019 #sunrise through the arch at the Whiterocks, #Portrush #TheOpen
Worth getting up at 3am for :)

My Irish Stew & dirty window :)
Onion, lamb shoulder steaks (whole), parsnip, carrot, potato & chillis.
Worcester sauce, liquid seasoning, lamb stock, salt & both freshly cracked and whole black pepper corns.
4 am start. I have been trying to capture the Orion Nebula for years; this isn't great, but by far my best attempt yet.
1 - The Orion Nebula (Messier 42 or M42)
2 - The Horsehead Nebula (also known as Barnard 33 or B33)
Both are in the constellation of Orion.
Chicken thigh on the bone, hot Balti.
Mini pappadums.
Yoghurt, cucumber, homegrown chilli & borage flowers.
First soup of the season, with homegrown peppers, spring onions & parsley.
Three bowls, just can't help myself with homemade soup..
East Vale Nebula or C33 taken from 1am to 2am. A quick edit on the phone, as I am still out and enjoying the clear skies.
A rather undramatic sunrise at Downhill this morning.
The house from B&B by the sea & Mussenden Temple.
Lamb on a bed of tomato & red onion
Potatoes & garlic cooked with the lamb, all seasoned
Olive oil & probably my new favourite balsamic, De Nigris. Absolutely amazing.
A further edit on the Andromeda Galaxy I captured a few days ago.
It was not many shots before it got clouded out. Also, the telescope was not in Equatorial Mode, as I only got it & its early days of learning.
This was my first (and to date only) deep-sky image.
200 stacked shots of this evening's moon.
Only 37 shots of Andromeda, before the clouds
It is about 2.5 million light-years away, meaning we see it as it was 2.5 million years ago.
Still learning & very happy with the results so far :)
Rump steak seasoned with turf cold smoked salt & mustard powder.
Veg, all homegrown:
Chared baby carrots with tops, tomatoes, radishes & hot chillies.
Olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt & cracked black pepper.
Absolutely amazing.
Drove 190miles to try & get the #eclipse
No joy, so driving home, spotted a break in the clouds 10 miles from home. Glad to have got it, even though not great.
