This week our pupils launched our 'Year of Youth', inspired by St Carlo Acutis. Through his example we will serve others. Prayer leaders reminded us why we carry out charitable works and have been asked to nominate charities close to their hearts 🙏 💖 #CST #LoveOneAnother

During Mass at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church in Hopkins, Minnesota, a Catholic priest wept while consecrating the chalice. Later, he said he experienced Jesus shedding His blood and, at one point, could not lift the chalice because it felt so heavy.

As we honor the many fathers in our lives today, let us first give thanks to God the Father for His unfailing love, providence, and countless blessings. Through the intercession of St. Joseph, let us pray for all fathers, that they may faithfully support their wives and courageously protect, provide for, and lead their families in the ways of faith. And recognizing the great need in our world for strong and holy fatherly witness, let us also pray for an increase in spiritual fatherhood within our families, parishes, and communities, that more men may embrace their call to guide, encourage, and nurture others with the love of a true father.

A great witness of faith is someone who displays their love for God even in the face of danger or opposition. Their entire lives point others towards Jesus, reflecting his love and truth into the world.
To help children understand what a witness looks like, we can introduce them to Our Lady. The Blessed Virgin Mary is perhaps the greatest of all witnesses. Her entire life was given in humble service to the will of God.
May is the Month of Mary and here are a few simple truths that we can share with children to help them understand how Mary can help them know and love Jesus more.
“Mary takes us by the hand and leads us to her Son.”
“We can ask Mary to take our prayers to Jesus. He loves his mum and always listens to her.”
“You can never love Mary too much. You’ll never love her more than Jesus does.”
“When you honour Mary and show your love for her, you also show your love for Jesus.”
“From Mary we learn to surrender to God’s Will in all things. From Mary we learn to trust even when all hope seems gone. From Mary we learn to love Christ her Son and the Son of God!”
Pope St. John Paul II
