I’ve said it before, just a few times, MAKE BRITAIN SECURE: Spend on defence, build resilience, cut energy costs, modernise regulation, deal with the debt. What will it take for our leaders to focus on what matters?

Why are TVs getting cheaper, but energy is getting more expensive? Here's a hint: the government might just have something to do with it.

IOPHR condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the latest wave of executions carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the execution of two young men in Isfahan and the deeply alarming reports that several more executions are imminent. Among the latest victims of the Islamic Republic’s execution machinery are young people whose cases have become emblematic of the repression of a new generation of Iranians. These include Amir Hossein Safari and Abolfazl Sepahi, publicly executed by hanging this morning (28th July 2026) for the so‑called ‘crime’ of protesting. Great to see @morton_wendyp at the regional @CWOwestmidlands AGM. @cwowomen Margaret Thatcher has always been an inspiration to me. Today, leaders like @KemiBadenoch , Wendy Morton, @Baronessjenkin and many more continue to inspire and encourage more women to step into politics and public service. Congratulations to all the elected officers of the Conservative Women’s Organisation. A special thank you to the Chairman Sherrel and to both the outgoing and incoming officers for your dedication and hard work in supporting women in politics. Wishing you every success for the year ahead. #CWO

What happened in Golders Green is not an isolated incident — it is the direct result of years of political and institutional weakness. When will we see real action instead of repeated condemnation? Extremists are not stronger they are emboldened by a government that has failed, time and again, to confront them and continues with a policy of appeasement. The Iranian regime has long been a driver of global antisemitism and terror, yet the UK still refuses to proscribe the IRGC. This failure sends a dangerous message: violence, intimidation, and hate will be tolerated. Today it is the Jewish community. If this is not stopped, tomorrow it will be everyone else.

Thank you for all you do @MattieHeaven, for what you and your husband have been doing for the security of this country and for never giving up 🙏 Indeed #ProscribeIRGC now! @YvetteCooperMP
Standing up to the Iranian regime and speaking out for freedom and human rights has consequences, and unfortunately my husband and I have received threats because of it. But intimidation will never silence those who believe in freedom and justice. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” The question remains: why is the Government still failing to take action to proscribe the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) when all of our Western allies have already done so? Today, on World Cancer Day, Neuroendocrine Cancer UK launches a new report: The Invisible Cancer – how delays, misdiagnosis, and unequal treatment of neuroendocrine cancer in the UK are costing lives. The report highlights the impact of delayed diagnosis, misdiagnosis, and variation in access to specialist care, and calls for greater recognition of neuroendocrine cancer to support earlier diagnosis and improved outcomes. 👉 Read and share the report: neuroendocrinecancer.org.uk/…

Just like with the Chagos Islands, the Prime Minister has been played. China got a new giant Spy Hub right in the centre of London. The UK got...nothing. When Keir Starmer negotiates, Britain loses.

Thank you for your support @jackmrankin 🙏 A very needed, and as you say, overdue step to be made for the security of this country and to show Iran we are standing with their people. #IranMassacre
We should have proscribed the IRGC years ago, but the second-best time is now - I was pleased to sign this letter. A particular shout-out to Vahid Beheshti, the founder of the Iran Front for the Revival of Law and National Sovereignty, whom has camped outside the Foreign Office for 1070 days, calling for just this.

Iran’s antisemitic regime is slaughtering its own people – and the West is silent The UK must move from statements to strategy. That means proscribing the IRGC, expanding targeted sanctions, closing legal and financial safe havens, and supporting international accountability mechanisms for crimes against humanity My article @JewishChron thejc.com/opinion/irans-anti…

We don’t ask nightclubs to serve orange squash to kids so they can have something to drink. We say no kids in nightclubs. Social media is exactly the same. Social media is not a safe for children. Extreme content is rife, and the safeguards the companies have put in place are complex and woefully ineffective. It’s time to make sure children are protected from adult spaces. The Government should focus on what matters, not banning companies they don’t like.

Well said @MattieHeaven 👏 It’s absolutely disgusting that @zarahsultana is blaming Western countries like the US for what is happening to the Iranian people. The Iranian regime is solely responsible for the massacres. #IranRevelution2026 #HumanRights #IRGC #StandWithIran
. @zarahsultana you are a disgrace and an embarrassment to our great city of #Coventry. Over 12,000 Iranians have been massacred by the brutal regime of the Islamic Republic just in the last few days. The same regime that supported Hamas and funded their terroist activities while they weaponised Palestinians. Images of body bags and mass graves are emerging despite internet blackouts. Yet you choose to weaponise their suffering to attack Trump and recycle regime talking points. The Iranian people are not asking for lectures on sanctions. They are protesting for the regime that murders them to fall. Inside Iran, the people are under severe crackdown and are being killed with direct gunshots to the head and the heart. They are counting on President Trump to support them in their struggle, not appeasers in the West who excuse their oppressors. And do not distort reality. The instability and bloodshed across the region, including Gaza, is driven by the regime of the Islamic Republic and its proxies, not by #Israel defending its right to exist. The regime funds terror, fuels wars, and crushes its own people. It exports a dangerous ideology that has unfortunately infected millions including yourself! You say “only the Iranian people should decide their future”, yet you echo the exact narrative of the regime that is killing them. History will be clear about who stood with the Iranian people, and who chose the comfort of ideological posturing over humanity. #IranRevelution2026 #HumanRights #IRGC #StandWithIran @realDonaldTrump @GBNEWS

Today marks two years since the barbaric and savage attack of October 7th. In January 2024, my husband @Vahid_Beheshti and I visited the very site of the October 7th massacre in Israel an experience that will stay with me forever. Standing where so many innocent lives were taken, I was reminded that this was not just an act of terror, but part of a systematic campaign orchestrated and funded by the Iranian regime under Ali Khamenei the same regime that created and sustains groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, fuelling hatred and antisemitism across the region. Today, we remember those who lost their lives, we stand with the survivors, and we call for the immediate release of all remaining hostages. We must stand united with the victims, confront those who enable terror, and hold the Iranian regime accountable for its role in funding and exporting terrorism and extremism. #October7 #Israel #Hamas #Iran #HumanRights #NeverForget #FreeTheHostages

The Government has identified the Iranian regime as a direct threat to Britain’s national security that must be treated as a priority. This is the right decision, following the report of Parliament’s Intelligence and Security Committee and the crucial landmark poll commissioned by the Iranian Front for the Revival of Law and National Sovereignty, conducted a few days ago by JL Partners. That poll showed that 72% of Labour voters believe the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) should be designated as a terrorist organisation, while more than 67% want Britain to cut ties with the Iranian regime altogether. The next step, especially with @YvetteCooperMP now serving as Foreign Secretary, must be the formal designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organisation. My husband, @Vahid_Beheshti , has been holding a sit-in protest outside the Foreign Office for 927 days, demanding precisely this. Proscribing the #IRGC is not only necessary, it is an urgent measure to safeguard the national security of this country. #IRGCTERRORIST

In light of the current circumstances, Lord Polak addressed Lord Collins at the House of Lords, and asked him whether he will apologise to the people of Iran and to @Vahid_Beheshti who has camped outside of the Foreign Office for over two years, for the Government’s continued failure to proscribe the #IRGC? “HMG have been on the wrong side since they took Office” It is absolutely right to ask: which side is this Government on? Is it on the side of the freedom loving, democratic nation of #Israel and the people of #Iran, who have suffered for decades under tyranny? Or is it on the side of the Ayatollahs, who murder their own civilians, who have executed, on average, two people every six hours for the past 47 years, who founds and supports terror groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis?
