Writing this on the plane (thanks Starlink) 4 days ago I competed in Virtuocity Battleground located in Qatar, my first tournament ever outside of the UK and I ended up coming 17th. Although the placement wasn't what I was hoping for, I learned A LOT; especially in terms of what works and what doesn't against strong players outside the EU. But I will say, the time I spent after the tournament with the local players and talent from Pakistan was the highlight for me. From experiencing middle eastern munches to taking pictures at Al Corniche and enjoying IHOP pancakes with the lads before my flight (we have zero IHOP's in the UK), these are memories I will never forget. Thank you to all the members within the Qatari scene that made this short stay very special, I want to especially give my flowers to @Faisal_FGC for being an excellent host and introducing me to the scene properly, To Ian, Audrey, Gabby and Jassim for the good matches played at the event, @RedOdeste23 for being the funniest guy at all times and @salmanA36, who is one of Qatar's strongest players who I played a number of matches with offline and online as he was showing up in my ranked queue a couple hours before my flight. And of course good games to @Farzeen_tk in winners side and @tekken_masterbh who eliminated me in bracket. This trip really opened my eyes more to using Tekken as an avenue to seeing the world. I will go to more places and countries and it definitely won't be my last trip to Qatar. On that note, next stop is Evo France! 🇫🇷
