Today, October 14th, the name of Japan's first Disney cruise ship has been officially decided as Disney Imagination🎉

🚧 The refurbishment of the main bridge of Sleeping Beauty Castle is officially complete. Here’s a first look before its imminent reopening.
The announcement was made by Disneyland Paris on October 12, 2026, exactly 35 years to the day after the “Rendez-Vous au Château” event that revealed Sleeping Beauty Castle to the world for the first time.
Among the works carried out:
- reconstruction of the structure supporting the decorations;
- renovation of the arches (with a hand-sculpted synthetic stone cladding), the corbels and the decorative sheathing;
- redesign of the flooring with granite paving instead of concrete (2,735 pieces);
- restoration of the balusters in natural Champagny stone with a waterproofing coat to prevent them from deteriorating too quickly from the moat fountains;
- creation of a new compass rose on the ground in natural stone with brass inserts;
- patina and painting works;
- new horticultural arrangements.
Disney notes that the WDI teams called upon experts in the restoration of historic monuments to assist them.
