In the framework of the #SE4U project and together with @UNODC_UNTOC and @UNODC_EA, we launched the Kenya🇰🇪 Voluntary Pilot Initiative to combat #OrganisedCrime through civil society engagement in #UNTOC review. Trees were planted at @UnKenya a symbol for this partnership.
Strengthening #capacity and #knowledge is key to building lasting #cooperation and #trust between governments and non-governmental actors to combat transnational #OrganizedCrime.

This week I had d honor to chair a panel on Int'l #Peace & #Security w/ f. UN USG @ShashiTharoor at @DA_vienna's conference on 'Reinvigorating d #unitednations. My take: for it to truly succeed, we must go back to d principles of d Charter & put "we the people" at d heart of it.
When I travel around the world to serve the people of the United Nations, my biggest joy is to engage with young people who, despite many adversities, give me hope for a better future. Did you know that more than 50% of Indian population is under the age of 24 years?

Opening the @WFAD_info Regional Forum against Drugs in India’s Kerala🇮🇳, @UNODC_ROSA Chief @MarcoTeixeiraUN emphasised “shared responsibility” to engage children, youth & families in addressing the drug problem. “A coordinated multi-stakeholder response is key,” he said.
