See you in 2027.
NEW: Scottish Labour have a new leader - Michael Marra.
He defeats Joe Fagan on a 49% membership turnout.
This morning Scottish Labour will pick either Michael Marra or Joe Fagan to be the next leader. Lots for the winner to do
- get some name recognition
- get a relationship with No 10 (and some insiders want them to talk to Burnham about his Scottish approach)
- get some policies

A lot more focus would have been given to the final MP had team Lennon been aware that they had 3rd MSP.
NEW: Scot labour leadership contest will be a two horse race between Michael Marra and Joe Fagan.
Monica Lennon didnāt secure enough parliamentary support to get on the ballot.

Hands up - havenāt read the full piece so perhaps this is explained. But scotland alone in 2024 had over 7k shops selling vapes. That number seems far too low?
John Swinney appears to choose not to fan the flames after Nicola Sturgeon comments.
Tells broadcasters in a democracy people can say their piece and it was "a great privilege" to work with her as FM. Says he is now enjoying his own mandate.
After former SNP health sec Alex Neil suggested new Monklands hospital won't have an A&E, current health sec Angela Constance confirms it will have an A&E.
Says government has"unshakeable commitment" to build new hospital despite comprehensive redesign due to cost
NEW: Katy Clark to nominate Monica Lennon in the Scottish Labour leadership contest.
That means Monica Lennon just needs one more MSP to hit that particular threshold.
Should Glasgow have a mayor?
More accountability and a figurehead to turbo charge reform?
Or another layer a politicians that people donāt want?
Weāve been having a look š
