What a sad time we live in, when Muslim governments bar Muslim girls from school for wearing the hijab. We all oppose the Taliban's ban on women's education, and the whole world rightly spoke up against it. Yet hardly anyone in the Western media says a word when hijabi girls are denied an education. Concern for girls' schooling cannot be selective.

Interesante: Azerbaiyán ha prohibido el hiyab -pañuelo islámico- en las aulas para acercarse al secularismo que promulga, y son muchas las adolescentes que se niegan a quitárselo. Las protestas se multiplican y hay profesores que incluso dan clase en el patio para no acatarlo.

🚨🇦🇿 | El Gobierno de Azerbaiyán modificó las normas de vestimenta escolares y estableció que no se permitirán prendas contrarias al uniforme oficial ni al carácter secular de la educación. Tras el cambio, alumnas con hiyab no fueron admitidas en sus colegios y las familias musulmanas las utilizaron para dar lástima.
