#BASEES2026 is well underway in Birmingham, UK.
Bringing together a vibrant international community of scholars, researchers, postgraduate students and policy‑makers, BASEES is the leading conference for the study of Russia, Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union.
As a conference exclusive, we’re offering 30% off 'Soviet Materialities', a brand‑new book exploring how material culture reshapes our understanding of the Soviet world. It ranges from the exploration of textures in 1960s domestic space to Gulag labour on the Moscow Canal, and from avant‑garde literary theory to conceptual art under perestroika.
