We are aware of and tracking the hurricane's impacts on southern Alabama and surrounding areas. For now, we don't plan to change our schedule for ground/cockpit tours or flights, though that could change. And...we are NOT planning to leave Huntsville early or cancel the tour stop. If needed, the airplanes will be hangared to protect them from hail or other damaging storms.

Meet Larry Silfies. His father, Forrest T. Silfies, served on Tinian as a bomb loader during World War II. It was an honor to meet Larry, his son, and his grandson in Allentown. This is Stephen Brickman. He served on WB-50s in the late 1960s as a radio operator with the 54th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron. He logged more than 1,000 hours as a typhoon hunter and weather reconnaissance crew member. This is Mike Sparh. His father, Sgt. Joseph Sparh, was a B-29 radio operator during World War II and served as a trainer for the USAAC. Mike visited us Thursday in Wilmington and brought his father's B-29 horn button, which he wanted to donate to carry on his father's legacy.
