At CTL Seal,Brian Hall trust chairman has tried out the sample lagging rope in the smokebox ring groove, prior to adjusting the hinge brackets. Using a hoist with strong magnets to lift the door into the groove. That test done, we can now weld the ring into the Wrapper (Cylinder).

The good news keeps coming. Shown here is the smokebox ring and seal groove, before being drilled and finish machined. So we now have the wrapper (cylinder), door and now the part that is inbetween these two. Now all we need is the door hinges, dart and locking bar👍.

61673's frames have now been primed and painted inside to protect them. (Note that any fittings to be attached the area will be cleaned carefully back to metal). But they look smart now in a gloss red finish😃👍.
