“you don’t have to make autism your entire personality.” i’m not. autism affects how i process the world, communicate, experience sensory input, understand people, regulate myself, and move through everyday life. it isn’t a hobby i picked up and made my personality. it’s part of the way my brain experiences existence. acknowledging that isn’t making autism my whole identity. it’s finally allowing myself to understand who i actually am.
