The treatment of #PWD’s is a national disgrace, govts are literally nickel & diming all those on disability benefits + the long awaited #CDB is only $200 per month. It is beyond acceptable that we as a nation allow this. My salvation was turning 65 but some can’t wait that long

Excellent piece, by default being poor or a #PWD excludes an individual from being a meaningful person in society. As someone who has been entrenched in the #OW #ODSP welfare system for the past 10 years I am testament to how it destroys a soul. No one is coming to our rescue 😔

Meanwhile @fordnation and Ontario MPP’s are getting a 35% increase in wages while those on #ODSP must be content with a paltry 2.8% or about $38 a month increase. It’s just appalling to live in a province where #PWD’s have been repeatedly abandoned. Help us all FFS !

The whole disability file under the @liberal_party has been a debacle and as prime minister @JustinTrudeau failed to advocate for #PWD’s time again: imagine, they helped everyone and their mother during the height of the pandemic and did absolutely nothing for us. Unforgivable!

If you’re a #PWD like me who will be getting kicked off #ODSP at 65 ( at the end of the year ) it’s imperative to apply for GIS and OAS or you’re doomed. I’m so worried about the transition but no one bothers to reach out and help 😔 I can’t become homeless or I’ll die ☠️

I can't stress this enough but Canada's most vulnerable citizens have been abandoned by all tiers of govt, this includes #PWD's, seniors, low income earners plus all those who ( Can ) fall through the cracks including the unemployed, homeless & those on social assistance. FFS

I was on and off #ontarioworks for 8 yrs always remember wearing the same ratty winter coat, boots that were too tight & a pair of runners I couldn’t wear in rain or snow - when I received retroactive pay from #ODSP I was able to buy clothing & footwear. It’s been downhill since – at Toronto, Ontario
