Wieliczka Salt Mine, started in the 13th century & by the time mining stopped in 1996, it had become a sprawling underground city with hundreds of kms of tunnels. Miners didn’t just extract salt, they carved entire chambers, chapels, statues, & corridors out of it. Incredible!

Krakow is one of Europe’s top cities to visit. Main Market Square is one of the largest medieval town squares in Europe. The 2 prominent buildings are the Cloth Hall, & the St. Mary's Basilica. Wawel castle was a key medieval defensive stronghold & later the seat of Polish rulers
