I'm watching these pundits on tv suggesting the 1/6 committee bring in ppl to testify under oath. To what end? Taking an oath does not mean we'll get the truth from Trump loyalists. In theory there are consequences for lying or not appearing, but not in practice.

I saw a poll this morning about who Republicans would vote for in 2024. They made a big deal about Trump only getting 55% of the vote. What they didn't mention at all is every one in the potential candidates has embraced trumpism. If you think the work is done you're wrong.
So I've been thinking about the $15/hr minimum wage. I've decided it's a bad idea. The fight for $15 has been going on for longer than I can remember. By the time it gets passed and takes effect it still won't provide a living wage.
