This isn't just one senator voicing her private fantasies about retribution. The Democrats have a detailed plan to investigate and prosecute members of the Trump admin, companies and individuals that have worked with it and probably ordinary people, just like they did with Douglass Mackey ("Ricky Vaughn") after 2016. JB Pritzker has given it the name "Project 2029."
The Democrats are already planning for the retribution to begin after the midterms. They've sent notifications to big companies including X and Paramount that they're going to subpoena them if they gain control of the House and its powerful committees.
What they failed to do after 2016 and 2020, they'll make sure they do this time. This is a death battle. Literally.
