In three parts, I explain how I was brainwashed into becoming a biased climate reporter. Step 1: Deconstruct your identity. When I entered a newsroom at 25, this was the pervasive ideology: The world is divided into two groups—the oppressed and the oppressors. If you are white, straight, privileged, or American, you are inherently an oppressor. Everything you grew up believing is wrong or evil. You cannot be trusted to see the world as it really is because you are inherently racist, biased, and part of the oppressor class. I was young, excited to be there, and surrounded by people I thought were smarter and cooler than I was. So I absorbed their worldview and ceded my judgment to the group. Once you are demoralized, feel guilty for being an oppressor, can no longer trust your own intuition, or your own interpretation of the facts, you will believe whatever the group tells you to believe. Step 2: Atone for your sins. Because you are an oppressor all you can do is atone for the sins of your birth. You can do that by repeating and advancing the group’s ideology. You never question it, because questioning the ideology is treated as proof that you are racist, selfish, or an oppressor. For me, this manifested as becoming a climate reporter. Through my work I could help the downtrodden, the indigenous people and other marginalized groups. I could be a good ally. And so without questioning, I pushed the idea that climate change was an existential crisis, fossil-fuel companies were evil, capitalism was destroying the planet, and America was an imperialist country that had destroyed the environment. Essentially all of the problems we faced were because of Western imperialism. If I had any doubts about this way of thinking I would shut them down. Who was I to question any of it? I was just some stupid, privileged white girl who didn’t know anything. That was what I had been told about myself and that is what I believed. Better to go along with the group, keep my head down, and be a good ally. Step 3: Fully submit to the ideology. The West is evil. America is evil. Capitalism is evil. White people are evil. Everything you grew up believing is wrong, and the only way to fix the world is to tear all of these systems down. The weird thing is that I fell for all of this from a place of compassion. I wanted to help the downtrodden. I wanted to solve inequality. I wanted to fix the world. I thought that by giving up my personal agency to this ideology, I was playing my part in atoning for the sins of my birth. I believe what I went through is still incredibly relevant today. It helps explain the DSA’s growing power within the Democratic Party. Why most Democrats can’t bring themselves to condemn socialism. Why so many young people believe America deserved 9/11. Why young people and celebrities chant “Free Palestine” without understanding that Hamas is a terrorist organization or anything about the conflict. They’ve been told what to believe and who the oppressor is in each of these situations. Ten years of cancel culture has taught people that questioning the ideology doesn’t simply mean you disagree. It means you are an evil oppressor. You are racist, sexist, privileged, out of touch, evil. Disagree and you will be cast out and lose everything. Once people become afraid to trust themselves, examine the facts, or stand against the group, you’ve got them. They can be convinced to believe and do anything. What do you all think? Did I describe this accurately?

History has been made! ✏️ 📖 No hurricanes have formed in the North Atlantic Ocean so far this year. This is the FIRST time on record in the satellite era (since 1966) that we have made it to September 12th without at least one Atlantic hurricane yet in the calendar year. This is also the first time since at least 1941 that this has happened. Year-to-date ACE is lowest since 1941 as well. If we get through September 21st without any hurricane formations, it will be the first time since 1914 (there were none that season). Can we get there? Nine days to go. The NHC thinks we will notch at least seven more. The race is on.

Let them keep outing themselves, I say. One of the best things Trump ever did, was expose these MF'Rs for who they really are. I don't think he gets enough credit for that.

Why are Democrats upset about high gas prices? Is this not what they wanted? ‘Cause I am old enough to remember how they wanted to make oil (and gasoline) so expensive that people were forced to buy EVs to “save the planet.”

This post is absolutely brilliant, makes a very relevant point today, and scanning through the comments, most are completely missing it.

I refuse to give up hope and concede Arizona's general election this year to the cheaters. We are in much better shape now despite the fact Hobbs vetoed much of the election integrity legislation. Look at the 2024 election - much of the cheating was prevented (other than Kari Lake's race, the abortion proposition, Cory McGarr). We have far more eyes on the 2026 election now, including Harmeet Dhillon and the DOJ observing, and election integrity champion Justin Heap as Maricopa County Recorder. We have TPUSA working around the clock harder than ever to chase ballots. The left gets felons to perform their dirty work, who are sloppy (Walter Ringfield Jr. had a criminal history and got caught). It's a much higher bar for them this year.

How are we going to overcome the obvious cheating that we know is coming which screwed up several Arizona State races

In order to understand climate, you need to first understand the weather and then climate dynamics with perhaps a little bit of oceanography and geology. And it amazes me that most of these so-called “climate scientists,” at least ones on social media that run their mouths and call themselves “experts,” don’t have any actual formal training in meteorology (which is where you would take climate dynamics courses), oceanography, or geology. I at the very least have been in a rigorous meteorology program. So-called “climate scientist” credentials are, in all honesty, LESS than impressive if you examine most of them. Having a Ph.D. in mathematics, physics, and data science doesn’t mean you are an expert in climate. Just because you have played around with computer models in your office and published papers on modeling a hypothetical future in fantasy world does not make you a climate expert. But a sad reality is that many “climate scientist” job positions in academia and in the federal government only require you to have a formal background in mathematics or physics. But put them in a meteorology or climate dynamics course and they’d probably crumble. That’s why many scientists with actual backgrounds in meteorology tend to be more skeptical of the alarmist narrative than so-called “climate scientists” who have never taken a course relevant to atmospheric processes.

🔥123 DAYS🔥 That’s all that’s left on the Senate clock for these 4. Good riddance! They didn’t represent the people. They represented the deep state establishment. January 3, 2027. We’ll help you pack. 👋🏻

What I have come to understand is that leftists just support murder. They don’t care about the unborn. They celebrated when Charlie Kirk was assassinated because they don’t like to be confronted in a debate. Facts are an inconvenience to them. And they are now standing with Lindsay Clancy for systematically strangling her kids to death because she got a case of the sads. They think it’s okay to kill your children if they become even the slightest annoyance. Anything posing an inconvenience to their personal lives or ideology is a threat that necessitates, in their eyes, extermination. That’s all this boils down to.

Let’s get Paxton elected. He’s the nominee.  Who gives a sh*t if the Senate GOP likes it or not.  Everything’s on the line.
Don’t let Senate leadership starve Paxton financially just so they can say “I told you so.” Get out, organize, and vote for Paxton so we can send a message to them that the grassroots “told them so.” Ken Paxton will be a great US Senator and a profound improvement over Cornyn.

I will be voting for Republicans I don’t like this fall, because open borders, DEI, chopping off children’s genitals, socialism, communism, big tech working with government to censor speech, higher taxes, Sharia law, men in women’s sports, defunding the police, big gov regulating to the point of eliminating jobs, any infringement of our 2nd Amendment, and eliminating innocent life (no matter how small) have no place in our individual freedom loving society.

This will be John Cornyn‘s Legacy. He will not be remembered for his service or successes as Texas Attorney General, or as a Justice in the Texas Supreme Court, or as aUnited States Senator. His entire Legacy will be this – endangering the GOP majority in United States Senate at a crucial period in American history, because he is offended by the candidate the Texas voters chose. @MarkDavis @
Every Texan who saw this coming stands vindicated. I expected better. But by any definition, this is just sad. A career of service capped with a final chapter draped in petty vindictiveness. He could have exited with the appreciation of millions who voted for him for decades.
