There are no words to express the heartache that we feel for the families affected by the gun violence that we have seen across our nation in the last few weeks - in Buffalo NY, Orange County, CA and now, the school shooting that occurred today in Uvalde, TX.
We mourn for the lives that were lost in these senseless acts of violence. Our communities, places of worship, and schools should be safe places. No one should have to face such unspeakable tragedy.

Today we honored the memory of retired Deputy Max Piña in the City of Fillmore with a street named “Max Piña Way.” The street is located next to the Fillmore Police station where Max began and ended his career. Max dedicated numerous hours to the community & is dearly missed.💙
