Banks and asset managers are rebuilding post-trade for 2027 right now.
That makes this a good moment to look one step further. Testing same-day and atomic settlement in the same programme lets one investment cover both T+1 and what comes after.
Treasury teams don’t need to park cash for every what-if.
Hold enough for the payments you expect. If an unplanned need comes up, even after the fund cut-off, transfer your tokenised MMF holdings to a liquidity provider and receive cash within minutes.

Europe has no shortage of investment opportunities. Connecting them with capital is the challenge.
Axiology has partnered with Orchestrate Funds to connect professional investors with selected investment opportunities, combining Orchestrate Funds’ investor network and investment expertise with Axiology’s regulated capital markets infrastructure.
The partnership enables corporate issuers and investment funds to place eligible bonds with professional investors, with Axiology providing services spanning registration, settlement and ongoing bond servicing.
The result: a more direct route from investment opportunities to professional investors.

In 2024, wholesale central bank money was still a side play in the digital euro conversation. Today, it is at the centre of the @ecb's digital finance agenda.
Axiology was among the 64 entities involved in the Eurosystem’s exploratory work, which covered transactions worth €1.59 billion across nine countries. Pontes builds on that work, linking DLT platforms with TARGET Services to enable settlement in central bank money.
For regulated digital markets, this addresses a long-standing challenge. ESMA has identified access to central bank money as a constraint on DLT adoption in Europe.
Having followed this journey from the inside, Axiology CEO @MariusJurgilas shares his perspective on what Pontes means for the future of capital markets.
In a year, T+1 will be Europe's standard.
@MariusJurgilas, Axiology CEO, argues that institutions investing in new systems and processes have an opportunity to prepare for what comes next: T+0 and atomic settlement.
Europe needs to move faster to avoid falling further behind other major economies, where T+1 has already been the standard for some time. But market participants don’t have to wait for another regulatory deadline to start preparing for same day settlement.

The UK is targeting Q1 2027 for its first digitally native government bond.
As Axiology CEO @MariusJurgilas explains to @Cointelegraph, connecting issuance, trading and settlement through regulated infrastructure could widen investor access and give issuers more ways to raise capital across Europe.

If DLT firms have to wait through another long review cycle before they can scale, Europe loses infrastructure, expertise and future liquidity.
The Pilot Regime needs a permanent footing now.
Capital markets don’t have to choose between tradition and transformation.
Traditional finance brings regulation, established institutions and investor relationships. DLT brings programmable infrastructure and faster settlement.
The opportunity lies in combining the strengths of both.
In his latest article, @MariusJurgilas explores why this hybrid approach, known as Web2.5, could shape the future of capital markets.

When securities move onto DLT infrastructure, what happens to the cash leg?
It’s easy to focus on the tokenised security. But the other side of the transaction matters just as much: what money is used to settle it?
Stablecoins can enable fast settlement. But, as Axiology BizDev Martynas Pilkis points out in his recent interview with Cate Lawrence from @tech_eu, their credit and liquidity risks matter particularly for high-value payments.
With Pontes now live, central bank money is becoming part of this conversation too.

The UK and the EU have run separate rulebooks since Brexit. Both started digital securities with controlled experiments. Both now face the same question.
Can rules written for a pilot phase carry a market at scale?
Global finance does not need every institution on one ledger. It needs regulated systems that run in parallel and exchange assets, settlement instructions and data, without participants rebuilding for each network.
Comments Axiology CCO @Laurin_Bylica for Digital Assets Edge: digitalassetsedge.com/dae/is…
Tokenisation has moved past the legal question. Regulators are now setting capacity, market access, settlement assets, collateral and governance.
Those decisions determine which tokenised markets scale and which stay permanently niche.
How can tokenisation make capital markets more accessible to European SMEs?
For many SMEs across Europe, the cost and complexity of issuing a bond are disproportionate to the amount they need to raise.
Tokenisation can bring issuance, registration, custody, settlement and lifecycle management onto more connected infrastructure, reducing operational handoffs and supporting smaller denominations.
Distribution is also a key factor, as a bond may be...

Regulatory thresholds set the ceiling for growth.
Settlement rules decide how digital money moves alongside securities. Interoperability decides whether tokenised assets can travel at all.
The digital capital market is being designed right now.
