if you followed my August 11 microthesis post you'd be leap frogging laps around the majority of CT
sometimes you don’t see it even when it’s right in front of you

Variational Pro will be one of the most sophisticated product launches crypto has ever seen as it will:
> automate the entire chain: from multi dealer RFQs, smart contracts and stablecoin settlement > do for derivatives what stablecoins did for payments
> tap into TradFi liquidity from day 1
I feel like one should view Pro as way more than a product launch:
> it’s machine native from day one: w/ settlement in stablecoins and execution through RFQs all routed through Variational
> the end users won’t all be human, agents will quote, hedge and settle without ever calling a desk, doing docusigns or engaging in random TG groups
> nothing out there is better positioned than Variational, since they already have the trust, capital and distribution
The complex/exotic products the biggest institutions on earth trade will become accessible to anyone/anything with a wallet
All roads lead to R̶o̶m̶e̶ Variational
i like Jez his framing around never putting money in your second best idea, personally always have found this incredibly hard when there’s abundance of opportunity seemingly everywhere…
but what if you have great ideas in completely different areas, how do you then best express your interest and upside?
for me a way to do that is separating these between passive (spot + seeds), active (points / activity)
Variational was my best perps idea, and it’s getting harder to gain more exposure (for me atleast) and yet it feels like it’s only just the beginning, still pre pro, pre a lot of things most dont know about yet
Ribbit’s Tibbir is my best spot idea and yet it’s still the most vague, with least consensus on what it might be. worth researching and could be potentially facemelting insane, if this is what i believe it is
each bucket could then be split up as well... where you'd be able to justify allocating to your best ideas
one should be able to imagine ideas to slowly crawl upwards as they become consensus, and if they don't, you should ask yourself if they then really are great ideas to begin with?
GL out there, i hope this small framework helps you capture more upside from your best ideas, but also helps you realize when it's not the case
