From the outside, building a competitive trading arena looks straightforward: Put up a leaderboard. Add rewards. Let it run.
In practice, it gets complicated quickly and it rarely unfolds the way you expect at the start.
Once the race begins, volume alone stops being enough. Timing matters. Strategy matters. Discipline matters. The traders who stay competitive over time aren’t always the loudest or the most aggressive. They’re usually the ones who know when to push volume, when to persist and when to step back to reassess.
On our side, the work isn’t about watching ranks move up and down. It’s about understanding what happens underneath. How behavior changes under pressure. Where strategies need to be adjusted. What separates an early lead from someone who’s still performing several laps later. And how thoughtful feedback from traders feeds directly back into how the platform evolves.
We don’t think there’s a final formula for this. It feels more like a craft: something you refine over time, race after race, learning from both wins and losses.

We have done a massive rnd work here.
Ekiden is becoming less dependent on the Aptos block space and settlement.
Also, that’s gonna be the last one before the mainnet launch.
We’re closing out 2025 with strong momentum!
December pushed the product forward across the stack, from front-end to back-end to contracts.
Ekiden is now entering its final phase before mainnet deployment on @Aptos!
Here’s what we achieved:
▫️Front End
Bundles have been improved, becoming lighter and loading content faster for users.
Portfolio and Competition pages created.
PnL sharing functionality added to social networks.
Desktop and mobile design updated.
▫️Back End
Reworked architecture to event-driven.
Migrated to ClickHouse for historical data.
Created multi-service sharding for horizontal scaling and high-load.
Reworked orderbook to be much faster and secure.
Unlinked the Aptos settlement from trading to allow faster operation processing and asynchronous settlement.
1. Completely redesigned the API and brought it into line with market standards, simplifying integration with Ekiden for users.
2. Redesigned Ekiden's internal architecture, allowing for scaling to any number of users and markets.
3. Significantly improved mark price calculation, making it safer and fairer for users.
4. Completely redesigned Ekiden's order book, decreasing trading latency.
5. Laid the foundation for future features, such as API keys, advanced rate limits, batch order trading, and more.

Created tool to measure protocol transaction cost.
Audit fixes implemented.
Adapted new Movelang i64.
Batching MVP completed (latency fix).
