Anyone want to get (respectfully) roasted?
Comment a link to your project and I’ll give feedback on your landing page and onboarding flow.
Yes it counts as marketing.
hot take: streaks are the worst thing that ever happened to habit tracking.
they convert one bad day into two lost weeks, punish rest like failure, and quietly swap your goal for protecting a number.
agree or disagree?
Got 0 paying users? Me too.
I'm testing new marketing strategies until one of them brings me customers.
This month I'm focusing on two things:
- Setting up my ProductHunt campaign for once the app gets approved
- Warming up a couple reddit accounts because that's where my ICP hangs out
I already got banned once on reddit so I'm taking it slow this time. I have two separate accounts I'm warming up - one to post in build-in-public/micro-SaaS subreddits, and another for posting to r/getmotivated, r/habits, etc.
I'm hitting each sub with 2-3 comments on different posts daily for this first week, and will layer in 1-2 weekly posts once the accounts are a bit more seasoned.
Wish me luck.

Genuine question:
what's the one habit that would make the biggest difference if you stuck with it for 30 days?
Day 1 posting every day until I get my first 10 customers for my habit tracker + AI accountability partner app.
Planning to go live on app store at the same time as product hunt. I'll be posting here and on reddit in build-in-public type communities to drive eyeballs to PH. I'll also post on linkedin and text friends and family to download the app and eventually leave a review.
If any of you guys are interested in trying out the app once it's live just DM me, I'll give you free access for 3 months for some feedback and a review.
Got 0 paying users? Me too.
I'm starting a series documenting my journey to my first 10 paying users for my app.
I'll share what I'm trying, what's working, and what isn't, so you can save time and get your first users quicker than me.
I’m building Kibo because I wanted an operating system that I could use to translate my own personal goals into a set of daily and weekly actions.
If you’re interested in personal development, productivity, habits, and of course indie hacking I’d love to connect!
If you're trying to reach your first customers...
You don't need to make viral UGC tiktok content
You don't need to publish a new youtube video every day
You don't need to spend big $$$ on paid ads
You don't need to do programmatic SEO
You don't need to launch on every platform
You need to pick one channel and spend 60 days giving it everything you've got.
You can't write 3 blog posts over the course of two weeks and then by upset you aren't getting tons of organic traffic.
Consistency gets results
The day has finally come. After 3 months of building, Kibo is finally LIVE on web (iOS coming soon).
It’s an AI life coach designed to turn your goals into a concrete action plan and then hold you accountable.
Want to give a big thank you to this community. It has been super inspiring reading your stories and learning from you all.
Now the real work begins (getting users).
If anyone wants to try it out shoot me a DM. I’d be happy to extend a deep discount to anyone in this community and get your feedback.
Thank you to everyone here for being a part of this movement. Super excited for what’s to come!
I’m launching my first app tomorrow.
Who are the best people to follow who have had success with apps in the self-improvement / personal development space?
Would love to learn from them.
Launching my first app this weekend after building for 3 months.

After 3 months I'm "launching" my first app this Sunday.
It's currently a webapp, with iOS soon to follow.
For distribution I've decided I'll begin with SEO and ASO, and then do a producthunt launch after that.
Any good SEO/ASO tools you guys have seen work well?
I feel like I'm using AI all wrong.
I use it to learn stuff, help with writing, do research, write code, etc. but it's always me kicking off every project.
I don't want to be the one starting every process or coming up with every idea. I want to open my computer and have a bunch of stuff done waiting for me to edit and approve.
Is it time for me to buy a mac-mini and join the OpenClaw hype?
Wondering why your visitors don't convert on your landing page?
I'm a fintech PM specializing in onboarding conversion and today I'm going to do a landing page teardown for superx.so. @robj3d3 has been crushing lately with this tool. Lets learn from him! 👇👇👇
The last thing I'll comment on is the visual polish. The elements all have a light responsive feel with subtle and smooth hover animations. This level of finish on the landing page sets the expectation that the product itself will be high quality.
if your website is janky you immediately lose credibility, and people will be skeptical about the quality of the product. it's also easier now than ever to create this level of polish using some basic claude skills. definitely worth the bit of extra time to make sure your landing page speaks to the quality of your product.
