Fair question. 3 reasons.
1: I am a businessman. The income from this does not move the needle for me, but it is always nice to have side income to buy more of the stocks I talk about inside The Assembly. I invest alongside the members.
2: Quality costs money. We run a team of 10 (8 analysts), a full platform, and our own AI assistant available to every member. None of that is free to operate, and I refuse to cut corners on any of it.
3: Free attracts the wrong people. When something costs nothing, nobody takes it seriously, and the community fills with random stuff. That is the exact opposite of what I am building. I am not trying to build the biggest community. I am building the best one. Big difference.

BonkDAO was the target of a malicious governance proposal resulting in an estimated $20M worth of BONK tokens being drained from the BonkDAO treasury.
During the investigation, BonkDAO identified the exchange wallets used to purchase BONK ahead of the proposal. BonkDAO is currently actively working with exchanges, bridges and Solana Foundation to best manage the situation.
Law enforcement has been notified. BonkDAO continues to work with relevant parties to recover funds and identify those responsible.
