There is no excuse for inflating your experiences or overstating what you've done, even in a tough campaign.
New reporting shows that @MikeRogersForMI’s claim that he "built the Chrysler Lebaron on the assembly line" is not true. Michigan's auto workers are the best in the world, and stretching the truth to associate yourself with their experience is exactly why Michiganders can't stand politicians.
But this is now part of a repeated trend. Last month, Mike claimed that he “saw Osama bin Laden's dead body.” That is easily disprovable. He has further claimed that he "hunted terrorists." That is just straight false. Mike served in the FBI from 1989-1994, where he worked on domestic crime. He was in Congress on 9/11 and any hunting of terrorists he did during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were from the safety of his Capitol Hill office.
Any insinuation otherwise is an insult to the men and women in the military and intelligence community who carried out dangerous missions and risked their lives to go after terrorists. michiganadvance.com/2026/09/…

@UAW leadership is so scared that they endorsed the wrong guy that now they are telling every Michigan factory worker who didn’t work for the Big 3: YOU didn’t work in the auto industry.
