Ooops. Permafrost degradation in steep rock walls at it's best. Luckily this one hit Piste 36 „Mittelberg“ (3250m asl) in the Pitztal glacier ski area during the night - no one got hurt.

The value of Marginal Gains. Small changes that we can make add up to big differences over time.
One of the major initiatives for Starbucks outgoing CEO was the Siren System, a $450m project to overhaul the bar design to speed up service.
If each of the Starbucks 40k locations served 5 more people a day, that was a ~$1B annual sales bump.
This video shows the optimized layout with key ingredients (pumps, caffeine, dairy, ice) placed in a certain order.
A major reason for the new design is that there are 380B+ potential drink combinations at Starbucks. And orders have gotten so ridiculously elaborate, that the average wait time is 5 minutes.
Take a Mocha Frappuccino:
▫️Under the existing system, it takes 16 steps and 87 seconds
▫️Under Siren System, it will be 14 steps and 36 seconds.
Helps the baristas manage the crazy volume of app orders.
Could be one thing that lasts from Laxman Narasimhan’s otherwise underwhelming CEO run.
