Moonrise over Whitecroft yesterday. This took a lot of planning and much crossing of fingers for clear skies!
Distant yachts photographed during Round the Island Race this morning. The weather was awful for photography, but a brief window of light cast it's spell on Tennyson Down. #RoundTheIslandRace
Sunset at Bembridge Lifeboat Station yesterday evening. Low tide is always interesting to photograph there 😊
Earthshine gave the crescent moon the appearance of an almost full moon last night. Looking across the West Wight with the Needles in the distance.

I've just got my copy of @Availablelightp's new book, collecting some of his amazing photos of the beautiful @VisitIOW over the years.
Highly recommended! Steve's work is always stunning.
The lunar eclipse over Tennyson Down. Photographed just before dawn this morning. It was so cold, but worth the ridiculously early start!
Exciting times as we've just launched our first ever coffee table style book! availablelight.cc/products/a…
The Needles (National Trust) at sunset yesterday. It was very calm, although a breeze disturbed the reflections!
The crescent moon over the Needles last night. The moon appears full thanks to Earthshine and the sea is being illuminated by Venus, which is showing bright in the night sky at the moment. We'll post a wider angle view shortly which shows Venus very clearly.
Yesterday's sunset at the Needles (National Trust). This time the sky was less angry looking than the previous attempt at this shot from a week earlier. Still not the perfect sunset, but that's the joy of landscape photography!
A wander around Ventnor yesterday. This is looking towards Steephill Cove and was taken about an hour before sunset.
