Hard seasons aren’t punishment—they’re preparation. When things get quiet and nothing makes sense, God is building the version of you who can handle what’s coming. In the struggle, faith grows unshakable. Trust the process. Trust His timing. 🙏

🙏🏼 for 🇺🇸: Some men enjoy cheating, but the cake they buy with such ill-gotten gain will turn to gravel in their mouths. (Proverbs 20:17) Lord, if there has been any cheating in this election, help us to find the cheaters and put an end to all destructive plans. In Jesus' name🙏🏼

Good message Tom
This was a tough election. Voters sent a clear message they want us to prioritize the cost of living, greater opportunity, and safer communities. We’ve faced tough elections before, and we’ve come back stronger. But one tough election doesn’t change the principles we’ve always believed in. Conservative policies make our country safer, stronger, and more prosperous. Our Founders designed a limited government to protect our liberty and allow markets, communities, and families to flourish. Those enduring conservative principles are bigger than any one election. And I’m not going to stop fighting for them. I want our children to inherit a country that’s better than the one we inherited. We’ll learn from this defeat, get back to work, and come back stronger. And we will continue fighting for the conservative principles that have always allowed our party and our country to succeed.

Me neither
Satan wants you to despair. He wants you depressed, he wants you discouraged, he wants you angry. He wants you to give up. I don't know about you, but I'm not really big on giving Satan any wins.

Vance and his associate is right
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

We can do lots of Monday morning quarterbacking. We should. That's fair. At the same time we need to be thinking about 2028. President Trump is a hard act to follow. And get involved locally. Get good candidates in our communities. Let's think soberly about maintaining our Republic. And keep praying! Stand firm❤️🙏

If you own a copy of UNELECTED and you’re distressed about tonight - skip to the last two chapters for a white pill. Power is not about who has more red flags or blue flags. Power is something that’s exercised above, through, and around Congress. Their monopoly on power depends on not noticing how the true game is played. Congress turns over every 2 years. But the people who build the institutions that persist past Congress are the true wielders of power. My prayer is that if there’s a silver lining from tonight, we realize our path to survival is through understanding where the levers of power really are, and it’s not by voting one party label harder. You, too, are the “unelected.” There’s nothing stopping us from safekeeping a Constitutional Republic. amazon.com/Unelected-Jennica…

CALMATE, REPUBLICANS!!! Trump remains president for the next two years. Deal with it, Democrats.  A Democrat House has no powers to prosecute. The DOJ will not indict. Impeachment will not lead to a Trump conviction and expulsion from office. Stupid tax, spend and legislation will be vetoed—and won’t be overridden.  After there is some sort of resolution of the Iran War, gas prices will drop like a stone.  And by the way, the threat of a nuclear armed Iran will be substantially diminished, if not eliminated. Thank you, President Trump.  It’ll be fun watching Speaker Hakeem Jeffries try to control the crazy DSA/socialist/antisemitic caucus— and enact legislation to improve “affordability” as “affordability” is being improved despite the lack of legislation. The economy is already growing—and will soon kick into an even higher gear.  For the next two years, the economy will continue to fire on all cylinders, while inflation and gas prices fall the moment the Iran War ends. What will the Democrats’ argument be then? Raise taxes on “the rich”? “Medicare-for-All”? “Trump is a Nazi”?  Given that Democrats opposed no tax on tips, opposed no tax on overtime, opposed no tax on Social Security and refused to expand school choice, etc., Democrats cannot possibly take credit for the Trump/Republican economy. They cannot possibly, with a straight face, take credit for the huge, and by recent standards, upcoming unprecedented growth in the economy.  The Republican 2028 presidential nominee—whether Vance or Rubio—will have a hell of a strong argument about the economy and “affordability.“ See you in 2028!

Feel same
I feel a little mixed and selfish tonight because all politics are local, and my state of Florida is saved and we will flourish for years. But I feel horrible for the rest of the country, especially Texas. But the good news is Democrats will screw this up so bad, it’ll swing back Republican again big time.

I asked 50 Japanese people, ages 9 to 91, one question. "What do you admire most about Americans?" Here are the top answers. 10. "They clap when the plane lands." (Office worker, 34) 9. "They say 'I love you' every time they hang up the phone. Even men. Even to other men." (Taxi driver, 61) 8. "A stranger told me she liked my shoes. Then she just walked away. She didn't want anything." (High school girl, 16) 7. "They thank the bus driver when they get off." (Bus driver, 55. He got emotional saying this.) 6. "They tell you their whole life story in the grocery line. I know about one man's divorce, his boat, and his knee surgery. We knew each other for four minutes." (My mother, 64) 5. "They stand for the anthem at a children's baseball game." (Little League coach, 47) 4. "When they lose, they shake hands and say 'good game.' And they mean it." (Sota, 12) 3. "They fly the flag on a regular Tuesday. No holiday. Just because." (Nurse, 28) 2. "They help a stranger push a car out of the snow, then leave without saying their name." (My cousin's husband, 52, who got stuck in Colorado once) And the number one answer came from the oldest person I asked. My grandfather. He's 91. He thought about it for a long time. Then he said: "They still believe tomorrow will be better than today." I asked him what he meant. "In 1946, we had nothing," he said. "The American soldiers I met were young and far from home. But they acted like the future was coming, and it was going to be good. After a while, we started to believe them." I asked him if he thought Americans still believe that. He nodded slowly. "Tell them," he said, "not to stop."

Dads, please remember, the most powerful leaders lead with persuasion, long-suffering, gentleness, meekness, love unfeigned, kindness, and knowledge. Control, dominion, and compulsion may produce temporary compliance, but they also breed resentment and rebellion. You may get compliance, but you won’t get conversion. And without conversion, the relationship becomes a house of cards, just waiting to collapse. Control is easy. That’s why it’s so tempting. It’s a shortcut. It allows us to get the behavior we want without doing the difficult work of building trust, developing relationships, and earning influence. Think about the contrast between God’s approach and Satan’s. God tells Adam, “By the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread.” In other words, meaningful things require effort, patience, and work. Satan, on the other hand, tempts Cain with a shortcut: “You don’t have to earn it. You don’t have to wait. Just take what you want.” Control is the shortcut to compliance. Love is the long road to conversion. And while control may change someone’s behavior for a moment, love has the power to change someone’s heart forever.

When friends of different faith traditions and backgrounds come together in open dialogue, we discover our shared values and collective desire for a better world. It was my pleasure to represent The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and participate in a special dinner program and intercultural forum hosted by Grand Mufti Sheikh-ul-Islam Pashazade earlier this week in Baku, Azerbaijan. We were grateful to be recognized for recently hosting the G20 Interfaith Forum in Salt Lake City, Utah, by the Grand Mufti during this gathering. Our hope is for all to be peacemakers, love God and our neighbor, and know we are all children of God.
